DOMAINfest Europe Comes to a Close With DayTrading.com Selling for $200K

The business part of last week’s DOMAINfest Europe in Prague was finalised last week with more than 200 people in attendance. Both panels and networking sessions included very lively discussions on trends in European domain name and monetisation issues.

There was also a live auction that is now closed with several names approaching their reserves, including restaurant.com at $4.5 million.

There’s still strong interest in these premium domain assets and the auction is, as has been the developing trend, a buying opportunity but also a marketing platform for premium names — often sales close immediately after the auction as other parties learn of their availability.

The Moniker and SnapNames extended online auction will run for a full week, starting October 6 and ending October 13, 2010, at 15:15 US Eastern time.
