Afilias logo.info logoAfilias has advised ICANN they will be increasing the “Maximum Service Fee” or the fee they charge registries as defined in the .INFO Registry Agreement for domain name registrations to $7.42 as of 1 July 2011.

The advice comes in a letter published on the ICANN website and is part of increases advised in recent months from the operators of registries including .BIZ where NeuStar advised they will increase the registry fee to $7.30 as of 1 April 2011 and .ORG where PIR advised they will increase the fee to $7.21 as of 1 April 2011.

VeriSign also increased the registry for .COM and .NET names on 1 July 2010.

Meanwhile, as recently reported, RegistryPRO has gone the other way and announced they will be cutting the registry fee for .PRO domain names due to increased registrations in 2011.
