Quartet Of Six-Figure Sales Topped With Republic.com Top Sales For The Week
Republic.com was the top selling domain name for the week to 25 September according to Domain Name Journal, selling for $200,000 through Sedo.
It was one of a quartet of six-figure sales for the week along with creditcard.net ($138,000 in a private sale) and tying in third place, silvercoins.com and siteweb.com, both selling for $100,000 through Sedo.
Overall there were only ten Sedo sales in the week out of the top 21 (a tie for 20th place).
A package of six British place name .COM domains sold for $200,000 via Toby Clements Newsletter, which by Domain Name Journal rules, mean they sold for $33,333 each, and so there was a six-way tie for eleventh place.
There were 19 .COM domains in the top 21, with the other exception being sponsor.me.
