The largest reported internationalised domain name sale has been finalised with the final instalment paid in a $216,000 sale for Москва.com (“Moscow” in Russian) Domain Name Journal has reported.

The report notes the sale was originally subject to a confidentiality agreement “but Gary Males at IDNTools.com was able to persuade the seller and buyer Moshe Schneider to release details of the transaction.”

The domain name was added to the top 100 reported sales list for 2011 and comes in at number 26. But the current owner seems not to be keen to keep hold of it as it is currently undeveloped and listed for sale.
