Metal.com was the top seller in Domain Name Journal’s weekly chart of reported sales to the week ending 22 July, selling for $140,000 through Sedo.

It easily beat the second biggest sale of the week, chargepoint.com, selling for $80,000 again through Sedo, who took nine of the top 21 sales for the week – there was a three-way tie for 19th place.

AfternicDLS had the second highest number of sales in the top 21 with five, followed by DomainNameSales with four.

As usual, .COM had the most sales of any TLD with 16 while there was one each for co.uk, .CO, .NET, .US and .NL.
