Domain Name Journal logoThe domain name aftermarket got a little interesting with two six-figure sales topping the Domain Name Journal sales chart for the week ending 30 September.

Topping the chart of top reported sales was restaurantsupply.com, selling for a very nice $150,000 through MostWantedDomains, while buy.me came in a very close second, selling for €115,000 ($148,350) through Sedo.

They easily eclipsed the third placed sale for the week, HormoneReplacementTherapy.com, which sold for a still very handy $42,000 through DomainNameSales.

It was a competitive week for the sellers with Sedo topping the chart with six of the top 20 sales, while Go Daddy Auctions was responsible for five sales, including one in conjunction with DomainNameSales who were responsible for an additional two sales. AfternicDLS had four sales while MostWantedDomains and NoktaDomains had one each and there was one private sale for the week.

While there was no domination in regards to who was responsible for the sale of the domain, there was a domination when it came to TLDs making up the top 20 chart with .COM domains taking up 18 places. The two remaining domains were the aforementioned .ME domain while the other was a .NET domain.
