Power.com Becomes Seventh Biggest Sale of 2014 in Seven-Figure Sale

Domain Name Journal logoPower.com became the seventh biggest sale of 2014 to date, selling for $1,261,000, in a sale brokered by Scott Smith/WebsiteProperties to top the Domain Name Journal list of top reported sales for the week ending 9 November. It is the ninth seven-figure sale for 2014.

As expected, it easily eclipsed the second biggest sale, easybet.com, which sold for €35,000 ($43,750) through Sedo followed by mgp.com and riskjobs.com, both selling for $25,000,selling through Sedo and in a private sale respectively.

Overall there were 14 .com sales in the top 23 (there was a seven-way tie for 17th place). There were five .global sales – applied.global and banking.global selling for $12,000 each being the top two. Other TLDs on the chart were .net, .co.uk, .de and .tv.

On the aftermarket, Sedo accounted for 15 of the sales and DotGlobal the five .global sales.
