The registry fee, that is the fee charged to registrars, for .ee domain names will drop by 14% as of 1 January to €6, €12 or €18 depending on the length of the registration period. And then on 1 May, registrants will be able to register domains for 3, 6 or 9 months, and up to 10 years.
The fees for registering domains for Estonian ccTLD for 3, 6 or 9 months will be €1.60, €3.20 and €4.80 respectively along with options for 1, 2 and 3 year periods and up to 10 years. Price differentiation for periods longer than one year is not applied. The fees do not include VAT.
With domain regulation amendments coming into force at the start of the year, the Foundation will also stop asking for postal addresses when registering a .ee domain.
