The results are in from the first of three public auctions of one and two character .at domain names, and c.at received the highest bid, selling for €56,000.
The Austrian country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) registry nic.at made available 4,965 single and double digit .at domain names with the first auction concluding on 14 November.
The domains up for auction are those remaining following the Sunrise period where applications came from trademark holders and then a closed auction.
Top 10 sales from the first auction were:

- at.at €20,500
- e.at €12,500
- b.at €11,100
- d.at €10,100
- ep.at €10,099
- ch.at €10,002
- f.at €10,000
- 24.at €8,408.
There were 6,000 bids from a wide range of countries including China, US, Canada and of course Germany and Austria for almost 400 domains. The minimum bid for all domains was €72 with some selling for under €80.
Domains will be delegated on 6 December.
