A manufacturer of ride on lawn mowers in Colorado, USA, the Walker Manufacturing Company, has snapped up the walker.com domain name for $90,000 to top the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 13 November. Currently the company is using the name to redirect to walkermowers.com.
Coming next on the chart was a trio of short domain names sold through BQDN, a Chinese domain aftermarket company. Second highest sale for the week was mzl.com, selling for $38,250, third was cjn.com ($36,000) and then 3523.com ($31,000).
Sedo had a hand in 16 of the top 22 sales (a five-way tie for 18th place) and BQDN three. There were also 16 .com domains on the chart and one each for .pt, .io, .nl, .club, .de and .com.br.
