Domain Name Journal logoTwo weeks of $2 million plus sales and then thud, the top domain name sale is the comparatively disappointing $45,000 for peb.com, a sale brokered by NameJet. OK, $45,000 is still a very nice sale. But compared to sales of $2 million and over, it’s small change!

It was a big week of short domain sales on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 4 December with 8 .com sales of three characters, another of 4 characters and two with five characters as well as 3 single character .at sales.

The second biggest sale of the week was 2869.com, which sold for $39,567 through SnapNames while third was lampara.es (lamp in Spanish) which sold for €36,000 ($38,520) through Sedo.

It was a big week for NameJet with 12 of the top 20 sales while Sedo had 7. On the TLD side of things there were 14 .com sales, 3 for .at and one each for .es, .me and .de.
