The survey seeks to determine current perceptions of gender diversity in the ICANN community and to identify potential barriers to participation. The purpose of this survey is to inform community discussions on diversity, following calls for additional data on this topic.
The survey seeks to inform ICANN on perceptions of diversity and equality, leadership, and inclusiveness. It is also designed to help understand the degree to which barriers such as familial responsibilities play a role. The survey looks at whether peer support groups for parents, mentorship, gender diversity forums and breastfeeding areas at ICANN meetings would help with participation The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. Once ICANN has reviewed the survey results, they will share a report with an analysis of gaps, perceptions, and potential next steps with the aim of helping identify ways to enhance gender diversity and support broad, inclusive participation.
