Sex sells online. And so do sex shops! The domain name sexshops.com sold for a very handy €200,000 ($226,000) in a sale brokered by Sedo to top the Domain Name Journal sales chart for the week ending 11 June.
It was a brace of domain names at the top of the chart for Sedo, with nom.com coming in second, selling for $86,500 while input.co came in third, selling for $30,000 through Grit Brokerage.
Overall, Sedo had 9 sales on the top 20 chart, while Grit, “who reported all of their top sales from recent months this week”, had 5 sales while the .GLOBAL Registry had 4 sales.
As usual, .com was the leading top level domain on the chart, although not as dominant as usual, with 10 sales, while .co had 4, all through Grit as did .global, while .org and .us had one each.
