It was a big week for sales of new gTLD domain names with home.loans selling for a whopping $500,000 through the registry, Donuts, to top the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 21 January. And there wasn’t just one six-figure sale of a new gTLD domain name as the.club sold for $300,000 through Brandaisy. A third six-figure sale, can.com for $155,000 through Sedo, made it the second week in a row where 3 six-figure sales topped the chart.
There were 11 sales through Sedo, 3 through GritBrokerage and 2 through DomainMarket. On the top level domain side of things there were 12 .com sales, 3 .de and .co and one each for .loans and .club.
