Sedo’s Dave Evanson has shown there’s money in Christianity, brokering the sale of Christianity.com, which sold for a huge $600,000 to top the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales the week ending 12 August, and on the year-to-date chart, coming in fifth. But a long way behind the biggest reported sale of the year-to-date, ice.com, which sold for $3.5 million.
Coming in second for the week was sportsmans.com, which sold for $235,000 through BestWeb.com and then broker.com.au, which sold for A$100,000 ($73,000) through Drop.com.au. This .au sale was the third largest ccTLD sale of 2018 to date.
On the TLD side of things there were 15 .com sales, 3 for .co and one each for .com.au and .global. On the aftermarket outlets, Sedo took out the honours with 15 sales.
