It’s now 2 weeks in a row where the top reported sale on the Domain Name Journal chart was a $50,000 sale. This week it’s the sale of navibank.com which sold through Sedo while, again like last week, a couple of $20,000+ sales made up the next 2 positions: rek.com which sold for $23,000 through CanavasMedia and blume.com which sold for $22,000 through Sedo.
But a large 7 figure sale that was previously reported, that of chocolate.com, which is said to have sold for a low-mid 7 figure amount buy the sales outlet, can’t be included because the exact amount is subject to a non-disclosure agreement. So expect the domain name to have sold for anything from about $2 million to $6 million, and given the vague description of the amount by the aftermarket outlet, Kate Buckley, most likely somewhere in the middle of that.
There were 15 .com domain names on this week’s chart, 2 for .de and one each for .global, .ec and .ae. There were 16 sales through Sedo and 2 through CanvasMedia.
