Sedo’s Dave Evanson brokered the biggest sale on the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 19 May, brokering the sale of cooking.com which sold for a very hot $402,500, making it the sixth biggest sale on the DNJ chart for the year-to-date.
As DNJ noted, the cooking.com sale was higher than the other 19 sales on the top 20 list and for $400,000 one could have bought them all and gotten back over $130,000 in change.
On the TLD side of things, .com dominated more than usual, taking out 18 of the top 20 positions on the chart, the other 2 being a .tv and .org sale. On the aftermarket side of things, Sedo dominated more than usual with 16 of the top 20 sales.
