It was the week of the sale of voice.com, the largest reported domain name sale of all time, so naturally it topped the Domain Name Journal chart of reported sales and shot straight to the top of the year-to-date chart. If you recall, it sold for a whopping $30 million through GoDaddy’s Domain Broker Service.
Coming in second was a sale that in most weeks would top the sales chart itself – the $400,000 sale of casinos.org – itself the largest non-.com sale of the year-to-date and coming in ninth on the year’s chart in a sale through Sedo.
And then third was zkj.com which sold for a still pretty good $49,980 through Graham Haynes who had 5 sales in the top 10, and top 20. Sedo was the top player on the aftermarket outlets though with 12 of the top 20 sales.
On the top-level domain side of things, there were 13 .com sales, 2 for .org and one each for .de, .co, .tube, .network and .ch.
