The Christmas/new year period saw Domain Name Journal compile one report on top reported sales for the 3 weeks to 5 January. And unusually it was a ccTLD domain name that topped the chart – ticket.ca which sold for C$100,000 ($77,000) through eMall.ca.
Coming in second and third for the 3 week period was touhou.com and oge.com, which sold for $75,000 and $62,000 respectively through Sedo.
Sedo took out 7 sales on the top 20 chart, Uniregistry 6 (one in conjunction with New.life) and NameJet 3. On the top-level domain side of things there were 14 .com sales, 2 for .net and one each for .ca, .money, .org and .co.uk.
