ICANN Postpones Middle East DNS Forum Over Coronavirus Outbreak

ICANN announced Thursday the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak had forced it to postpone its Middle East DNS Forum, scheduled for 24-25 March 2020, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The decision, ICANN explained, was made in partnership with the hosts. It’s the second ICANN event COVID-19 had forced a change to, with the ICANN67 Public Meeting, which was to be held in CancĂșn, Mexico, being turned into a virtual meeting with remote participation-only.

A new date for the Middle East DNS Forum will be determined in coordination with the event host, the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).
