Go Daddy Auctions dominated the Domain Name Journal sales chart for the week to 1 July with ten of the top 21 sales, including taking out the top sale of the week with britt.com, which sold for $64,980.
In a somewhat unusual week, Sedo was responsible for only four of the 21 sales, the first coming in at 12th place, with a tie for 20th place.
While the week was unusual in some ways, it does reflect what has been a more competitive market for sales in 2012. Sedo were also outdone by DomainNameSales who were responsible, either solely or in conjunction with DomainAdvisors, for seven sales.
What doesn’t change is .COM’s dominance in the chart, taking out 18 of the top 21 positions. The others were two .NET sales and one .TO.
