ICANN is having another attempt at holding a public meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after it aborted its previous attempt scheduled for last November due to concerns regarding the Zika virus.
ICANN’s Board approved San Juan as the location in North America to host its 61st public meeting to be held 10-15 March 2018. The Board also approved Barcelona, Spain as the European city to host ICANN63 to be held 20-26 October 2018.
ICANN holds three public meetings each calendar year in different regions of the globe. The yet to be announced location of ICANN62 is scheduled for the Latin America and Caribbean region from 18-21 June.
