There’s Money In Free.Games As Domain Sells For $335,000

A couple of 6-figure domain names topped the Domain Name Journal chart of top reported sales for the week ending 26 May, with free.games easily coming out top selling for $335,000 through WebQuest while import.com came second selling for $115,000 through ApexMoon. Happylook.com came in third, selling for $40,000 through Sedo.

The sale of free.games is not only the largest sale of a new gTLD domain name for the year-to-date, but also the largest non-.com sale to date.

There were 11 .com sales on the top 20 chart for the week along with 2 for .co and one each for .games, .it, .me, .org, .ca, .world and .net.

On the aftermarket outlets, there were 9 through Sedo and 3 through both LegalBrandMarketing and GritBrokerage.
